Sexual harassment prevention training
The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, with help from the California Employer’s Association, will host a seminar on sexual harassment prevention Dec. 12 in the chamber’s boardroom at 235 Montgomery St., 12th floor.
Attendees will learn details of AB1825, California’s sexual harassment training law, which is mandatory for businesses with 50 or more employees and recommended for all others. Participants will receive sexual harassment prevention certification.
The two-hour seminar, part of the chamber’s Business Success series, begins at 8:30 a.m., with a light breakfast included. Registration costs $25 for chamber members and $35 for prospective members before Dec. 10, and $5 more after that date. – Adolph Hunter was named vice president of corporate marketing at Cadence Design Systems of San Jose. He previously was group director of corporate communications at Cadence Design.
– Jeremy Jaech was appointed to the board of directors of San Francisco’s Mindjet Corp. He co-founded Aldus Corp. and Visio Corp. and is chief executive of Trumba.
– Charles Johnson joined APT Pharmaceuticals of Burlingame as chief medical officer. He previously was vice president and head of the immunology and tissue repair clinical group at Genentech. Also, Amy Burroughs Nader joined APT as head of commercial and business development. She was a commercial team leader at Genentech.
– Leo Jolicoeur joined Abaca Technology Corp. of San Jose as chief executive officer, succeeding founder and board Chairman Steve Kirsch. Jolicoeur joined Abaca’s board of directors earlier this year and had worked as an executive consultant for the company. He previously was executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer at AtRoad.
– Michael Kadel was named vice president and central Marin regional manager for Bank of Marin. He previously was the bank’s team leader for private banking and replaces Doug Caulfield, who is retiring.
– John McKee was named executive pastry chef at Masa’s Restaurant at the Hotel Vintage Court in San Francisco. He previously was a master instructor at the California Culinary Academy.
– Russ Newman was named provost and vice president for academic affairs at Alliant International University in San Francisco. He previously was executive director for professional practice at the American Psychological Association.
